We are currently seeking candidates to fill a Reliability-Centered Maintenance Engineer role to support our new Florence, SC plant; while this plant is under construction training will occur at our Smyrna, TN facility.
Job Summary This position will be a part of the core launch team responsible for Envision AESC's new plant in Florence, SC.
A key contributor to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.
Responsible for leading activities of the Maintenance department, including the new plant setup, provide mentorship to new hires, equipment buyoff, SOP support, new model and minor model program management, daily production support for plant operations, efficiency improvement, scrap reduction, and equipment acquisition.
Foster continuous improvement to develop, align, and exceed key performance indicators.
This person will initially go through basic training in our Smyrna Plant in TN and will permanently working out of the Florence plant.
Job Functions The following job function statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of this position Participate in new equipment design and drawing reviews with the global project team.
Create and maintain the project schedule related to maintenance team.
Attend buyoffs, and support for installation of new Battery Plant equipment/processes in new facility.
Responsible for training and documentation to maintenance personnel for new and existing equipment and reporting up to Management on new equipment status.
Maintains and updates documentation of new and existing systems in assigned areas; maintains and updates electrical, schematic, and mechanical drawings for new and modified equipment.
Specifies, designs, and installs production and facilities systems in assigned area; monitors systems and provides modifications as required to support model changes in assigned area; provides emergency response to daily manufacturing support problems.
Provides system problem solving in assigned areas; ensures continuous reliability and uptime improvements to systems in assigned areas; analyzes trends and symptoms, address quality and downtime concerns, and provide countermeasures in a timely manner.
Communicates with vendors and suppliers to ensure Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety goals and cost reduction objectives are met; works with vendors and suppliers on new technologies for better ways to implement manufacturing methods and produce quality products.
Communicate and schedule equipment needs with maintenance personnel, production planners and supervisors, to include proactive, predictive, urgent, minor and major maintenance work.
Drive improvements to the plant preventive maintenance system, to include implementation of TPM (total productive maintenance) and PM Optimization.
Scope, identify, award, and supervise contractor maintenance work and capital projects Assists manufacturing on productivity, ergonomic, quality and safety issues to ensure timely problem resolution.
As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.
Monitor equipment efficiency (OEE), and preventive/predictive maintenance process to identify problems and set up corrective repairs.
Maintain department repair records in a manner to best identify future preventive maintenance needs.
Develop and enter new equipment as well as Preventative Maintenance program and procedures into CMMS.
Responsibility for continued development and implementation of CMMS to improve asset management Knowledge of basic reliability and data related gathering and processing methodologies.
Assists in identifying top potential downtime issues throughout the system.
Understanding of basic reliability methodology and theory:
MECA (Failure Modes and Effects and Criticality Analysis) Criticality RCA Methods (Root Cause Analysis) FRACAS (Failure Reporting and Corrective Action) OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) & BDR (Breakdown Rate) Ability to assist peers and team members in failure analysis to avoid future failures.
Responsibility for development of appropriate Asset Maintenance Strategies for new equipment ranging from Reactive to Predictive Maintenance (PdM).
Assists in the development of budgets and capital expenditure justification for assigned areas; prepares project folders and supports model and capacity studies with budget development.
Analyzes equipment and Manufacturing Execution System data to help develop and deploy engineering solutions and improved maintenance strategies.
Supports Maintenance team with working knowledge of Networking, Interface Maps, machine communication, control, and data management.
General familiarity with the following:
ANSI, NEC, OSHA, ISO 14001, IATF 16949.

Job Knowledge and Skill:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of ANSI, NEC, OSHA, ISO14000, and IATF16949.
Excellent planning and organizational skills, and analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge as required of computer programming languages, CMMS, computer systems development, and basic purchasing processes.
Data mining of equipment faults and failures, determine root cause, and implement countermeasures to mitigate.
Troubleshooting and programming of all systems as required.
Working knowledge of electrical control systems, motors, robotics and PLC's Strong understanding of mechanical systems Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, vacuum systems, bearings, and power transmission systems Ability to identify causes of failure through Root Cause Failure Analysis and 5 Why approach Ability to put together presentations for data analysis, RCA, or project status updates
Experience:
At least 4 years of related experience at a professional level.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
CMRP and RMIC are all advantageous.
Computer Skills:
Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to create specialized applications or products of a highly technical nature.
Proficiency in Cad 2D and 3D software.
Advantages for working knowledge of SQL, Visual Basic/Macro development.
