3 Florence, SC Florence, SC Part-time Part-time $17 an hour $17 an hour Francis Marion University and the Performing Arts Center invite applications for a part time House Manager.
Under the general direction of the Director of Performing Arts Center and the Event Supervisor, the House Manager will oversee all front of house operations before, during, and after a performance or event.
It is the primary responsibility of the House Manager to ensure an excellent patron experience while they are on-site for performances, and to be an on-site authority in the event of an emergency.
This position oversees all front of house volunteers, and works in tandem with the box office and production staff during performances.
Hours may vary depending upon performance schedules of our two theatres, the Mainstage Theatre and Blackbox Theatre.
The FMU PAC is seeking someone who can demonstrate strong leadership skills, work as part of a team, work well under pressure, is process oriented, and has a passion for customer service.
The ideal candidate must have a strong initiative, great problem-solving capability, excellent communication skills, and a can-do attitude.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and train volunteer ushers Follow and enforce theatre rules Assist with the general flow of patrons in conjunction with the start of the performance and intermission FMU Preferred
Qualifications:
1-2 years' experience in customer service Commitment to providing quality assistance to a diverse population.
Demonstrated ability to provide innovative responsiveness to problem-solving Salary:
$17 per hour This is an 'As Needed' position and hours will vary per month depending on schedule of performances.
