Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on laboratory instrumentation and equipment, with a focus on Agilent HPLC systems.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate LC (Liquid Chromatography) and GC (Gas Chromatography) equipment.
Provide maintenance support on Karl Fisher titration methods, though this is not a mandatory requirement.
Utilize Empower and Lab Advisor software systems to analyze data, maintain records, and ensure equipment efficiency.
Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards and protocols throughout all metrology operations.
Collaborate closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that instrumentation and equipment are up to industry standards.
Stay updated with the latest industry practices, standards, and regulations in metrology.
Provide training to junior staff and team members on equipment handling, maintenance, and best practices.
Maintain maintenance schedules and ensure all equipment is within compliance.
Interact with vendors and other departments in order to complete maintenance activities
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a metrology role, preferably within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sector.
Proficient experience with Agilent systems is mandatory.
Previous work experience in organizations like PPD, Agilent, or big pharmaceutical companies is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of LC and GC.
Familiarity with Karl Fisher titration methods is ideal.
Proficient in the use of Empower and Lab Advisor software systems.
Must be familiar with and have a solid understanding of GMP.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
