Responsibilities:
Drive Process Stability and Variation Reduction to support The Area's OEE Targets-Identify Special and Common Cause Variation that is leading to top scrap and rework issues, or which is adding risk to downstream operations. Deploy a team approach, engaging operators and other experts Deploy proven tools to identify root causes and implement lasting corrective actions, such as Pareto, Ishakawa, 5-why, KT, DMAIC process, SPC analysis, distribution analysis, etc. Ensure operator instructions clearly guide the operator and are visual when needed.- Drive process stability through reduction of nonstandard conditions, supporting and encouraging teams to in their operator training, visual factory, 5S, Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, etc.Coordinate the PFMEA based product quality risk reduction activities (reducing the probability of an occurrence and the chance of detection). Drive Risk reduction and conformance to IATF and customer requirements.New product/equipment launches - work with the launch, QE, ME and production team to ensure measurement systems are both proven and understood, that operator training is adequate to ensure process stability, and to sign off on process capability for significant and critical characteristics. Responsible for process signoff of the DV/PV/prototype production runs (DBDS signoff).Share Best Practice and lessons learned as they emerge. Share across production lines within plant, across other process areas where applicable, and across plants by utilizing CAP system, BP sharing system and the SME council structure.Participation in process audits (Layered Process Audits) and actions to drive process conformance.Plant problem resolution where production is at risk.Mentoring and hands on support to newer engineers and personnel in need of process knowledge.Track project performance in KEY database to assure timely completion and achievement of quality and savings goalsWhat we look forRequired
Qualifications:
oBachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical discipline.o5
years of applicable work experience in manufacturing.oSolid understanding and experience with the statistics related to manufacturing process, understanding of common cause and special cause, Ishakawa and team problem solving. Six Sigma a plus.oWilling and able to work in a matrix organization.oExcellent team building and communication skills.oAbility to set priorities, work independently, and coordinate multiple projects utilizing available resources.Who we are:
